Dusit Zone
Dusit Zone is plenty of interesting
places. Visiting the zone, visitors will find several and different
impressive places.
Starting at Dusit Palace located on Ratvithi
Road, visitors will be impressed with Vimanmek mansion, the world's
largest golden teakwood mansion, and Abhisek Dusit Throne Hall decorated
with intricate fretwork.
Then visit the Royal Elephant National Museum, visitors
will borden the knowledge about Thai elephants, which have been regarded
as the symbol of prestige of the king and have important roles in Thailand
since the old day. The museum is opened daily from 9.00 am-4.00 pm.
For a more intimate encourter, visit the Ananta Samakhom
, the outstanding throne hall with a two storey marble construction
with a large dome in the centre surrounded by six smaller domes.
Then visit the Equestrian Statue of King Rama V the Great nearby the
Ananta Samakhom.
To get some joys, explore the Dusit zoo on Ratvithe road. It is the
Bangkok's oldest zoo containing a collection of many animals and birds
in an ornamental garden. It is open everyday from 8.00 a.m.-6.00 p.m.
And to complete a perfect day, visit Wat
Benjamabophit the Marble Temple. A outstanding temple in Bangkok,
which its wall is exquisitely decorated with marble blocks.
